Hi guys, I had a room skimmed a week back and where some of the skirting board was removed, the plastered put a thicker layer of finishing plaster to fill the gap (Older building, so was probably an inch thick all in.
Anyway, his advice was, paint it right away! Get some emulsion, mix it around 70% paint.
I didn't actually do this, I waited until the room was actually dry, although this bottom bit was still wet. I thought, considering he was happy enough painting right away, I'd give it one layer of the 70% mix just to seal the plaster to try and prevent dust.
Since then, I noticed the paint chipping away between the thick layer and the skimmed only layer, and today it almost looks as if there was some mould spores.
So my question is, what is best to do?
I already scrubbed away most of the paint from that area, but it didn't come off fully.
As for the condition of the wall. Fortunately we're putting a window seat in the area, so that lower part doesn't need to be painted.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
