Solid wall reveals

Hello,
I am currently refurbishing a room with 1 small external 9 inch solid wall with a window in it.
I have timber battened and insulated the wall to improve thermals a little then screwed plasterboard to the battens.

My question is , as the reveals are not deep enough for timber battens and dot/dab is not recommended on solid walls what is the preferred method of lining a solid wall reveal?

if there is no room you cant.

unless you chop off the reveals render and see how much room you have then.

Sand cement ? Then skim ?? With waterproofer added
