Some prices

I know it's not the thing to do so pm me if yous want.ive been given some drawings for a big high spec house.they want it stuck (to my disgust) and skimmed.its direct to architect and I do all their work.because of it size I'm going to have take some blokes on.what sort of prices are yous getting for sticking and skimming at mo. cheers
 
Essex.there isn't a builder as such.the architect also develops and he usually uses the same blokes
 
Big walls .at least 3m high though.may have to sub some out if my mates get too greedy. Been giving the odd job out recently with not even a thank you

Ive read this then re-read it and still im not sure what your asking, Youve been in the game over 20 years you do all there work and your asking how much to charge? You are aware with the crack on asking rates in this place but your still asking, your saying if your lads get greedy ou will get someone else i presume you will get someone cheaper? so out of interest what do you normally charge for skimming and dabbing? dont take it personal but when so called experienced lads come on the forum pretending they know this and that then ask what they should charge it sets alarm bells ringing. If ive got the wrong end of the stick please forgive me.

Maybe get 4 inbox message which each spreads rate add them up divide by the number to get an average price, then you know against your own rate if your cheap or expensive.

4 scotch eggs and a bag of crisps a mtr for me brother.

Everyone hates price posts so i dont you will get any messages
 
Flynny this is the least of you're worries we're talking about the slave trade and the Irish potato eaters running out of money on other threads chop chop leave it too long and another mod might jump in and ruin you're glory
 
John ignore them mate I'd say 6.50 all in no more than 3m would be good for me local but I'm In Bristol if it was a creamer

I just knew it would be flynny who'd have a pop. Yes Ive been in the game a long while and if you'd read my post properly i did say I know talking about prices is not the done thing,that's why I said pm me.i haven't done real site work continuously for 7 years and generally work alone.so I'm out of the loop. All I'm trying to do is get a rate so I earn a bit and can pay others a good rate.if you knew me which I'm glad you don't,you find if anything I'm too generous.one last thing flynny ive prob forgot more about plastering than youll ever know and if you want to be a keyboard warrior so be it. But do me a favour don't reply to my posts because I find you annoying and tedious. Cheers spunky

LOL wether i said it or someone else said it, it had to be said. Dont give me the bullshit youve forgot more than i know or you would of remembered how much to charge, dont try and bullshit me or any other members on here by giving it the "I earn a bit and can pay others a good rate". Ive heard it too many times. I did read your thread properly and i did read the bit which said send me a PM, I also read the bit that said "what sort of prices are yous getting for sticking and skimming at mo" so stop talkin like a ****. If pulling you on this makes me a keyboard warrior so be it but its not what i would call myself, also I wont do you a favour or anyone else who posts on the forum a favour by turning a blind eye to bullshitters trying to pull the wool over my eyes. I suggest you jog on and give your head a shake ive seen too many bullshitters on this forum pretending to know it all and give it the biggun but like yourself they soon get caught out, some sooner than others so on that note i wish you a good day.

John get a rate up to 2.7 say 3 quid for dabbing then 4 quid after that up to 5.4 for dabbing and 3 quid upto 2.7 and 3.50 after for skimming and put a profit margin ontop if it's awkward allow for labour

LOL you askin this is funny I am being helpfull by stopping people asking the rates and probably taking the job off a plasterer who knows his own rates. Your on site spunky it was only a few weeks ago you were talking about going into the domestic market so maybe you might be up against someone pricing a job. Im not the only person on the forum who doesnt want the rates discussed or am I? Im not on a power trip im using the same powers you have to discuss and chat on the forum so im not sure where your coming from, i havent used my mod status ever to get the upper hand on any member. look through my posts to see where ive been helpful, to be honest i was helpful on this post but not in the way of holding some experienced plasterers hand to help him price a job so he could give me a job.
 
So what's your point! Are you saying I'm an agency trying to get prices? Or a client?haven't forgot what I charge but what I don't want to do is take a job on at a rate I'm happy with but then can't get anyone to help me because it's too cheap.and as being as this is a plasterers forum I thought this was a place to ask.and it seems funny that one of the only sensible replies came from spunky someone you so eloquently called the forum idiot
