Sore wrist from eze

Been using my eze spat all week skimming trying to get the hang of it. Can see it's potential but still not got it 100%. Now my left wrist is really sore. Think I've been putting to much pressure on it using the spat. Is this common when starting out with the spat? Have to float an outside next and also building 95sq meters of stone wall. Hoping the pain goes away soon or I'm in for a c**t of a time with work.

I never used it but sounds like you might have to adjust your timing, you might hitting it too late hence you need a lot of pressure to make it work

Do you lot that use eze spat flatten as soon as gear is on ceiling like I do with Speedskim plastic ? Or do you wait a bit for it to firm up a bit ? My cousin got a Refina one and waits a bit as it is steel ,might just be timing like Zolco says bud.. I find plastic best all round tbh only use steel on last go over myself

The Refina isn't great for me. It's ok for flattening first coat skim, and I use it on mono render. Think marshy knows how to use eze spat properly.

I saw the extra time video where you use speedskim right the way through the set and steel at the end, did you learn that off someone else or just experiment it one day?

I loved me speed skim till i got an eze spat.... i then sold my speed skim... i find it gets it flatter, with better corners, can use it all the way through the set and does not Nick every time you go over a the edge of a bead...

My mate and me can't bend down to far (si joint problem for me , f**k*d knee caps him) so we tried our own ways. Don't think it matters which way go except around beads and reveals we go up and down.

Right handed. When using this spat, I have to use more water seeing as it's 1200 wide. Liked how flat it gets the wall but was expecting it to be quicker than troweling. Didn't finish much quicker than other plasterer working beside me on other wall.

You need a 600mm to finish mate. I only have the 1m and 600mm I've finished with my 1m but find the 600mm much easier and not as clumsy on walls or ceilings with s**t loads of cables hanging down

I can't get on with the eze , i've put it to one side when i'm skimming i know its me not the eze but its ideal for the mono

I`ve had a sore wrist but it`s one of them feckin ganglion cyst things. Got a Docs appointment on Friday, that's if I don't try to burst it before then

Suppose will have to invest in one of these 600s now. Sick to death with buying tools this year!
