Mate of mine has done a loft con he says its noisy from rd traffic an wants blue boards on what's the best spec for this ie insulation resi bars cheers
Cheers pal is the rock wool ok in the roof void thought it had to keep an airflow or don't it matter100mm rock wool resi bars and two 12.5 mm blue board is what is normally specified to us
Hmmmm how big are the rafters if you haven't got the space you'll either have to build on over the rafter (50mm in between and 50mm over) or speak to rock wool and get them to spec a higher density slab but thinner don't forget your thermal valuesCheers pal is the rock wool ok in the roof void thought it had to keep an airflow or don't it matter
Was only thinking about how the foil on the Celotex reflects the heat as opposed to absorbing it, making the roof space cooler. Been doing loft apartments with 2x140mm rock wool slab between trusses, and you can't live up there it's so hot.Well as long as you meet the required u value don't think it makes any diff it's just u get more u value in a thinner sheet with celotex etc he could combine both even
