Sounds like you're honest and he's not. It's about a room a day if the ceilings are already boarded.

12 rooms in that 4 bed i did:RpS_thumbup: but i have split the hsl into 3 as it was over 3 levels with a natural break off point between levels

same as what dannymac said room a day prob pick a wall up in cupboard or sumthing like that
3 bed semi 3 days wot a total muppet

i can be done i spose the builder just said how quick to plaster a 3 bed semi, not, "how quick to properly skim a 3 bed semi leaving it perfect".
so if you look at it like that he might not have been lieing:RpS_sneaky:

If there's no ceilings to do and 12 hour days, might be possible I suppose depending on the size of the house.

6 days just to do the ceilings if you ask me! fcuking hate ceilings one a day for me

naahhh ive invented a new tool its called a really speedyskim you can increse you meterage by 1000% and then some

1man..... 3 bed semi skim in 3 days......... would that be the belt sander finish. We may be rough but we're F kin slow!:RpS_lol:

Maybe yr man's doing one coat n not laying it down, maybe that's how he's doing it?!
one coating will only save you about 1/2 hour a day perhaps an hour if your lucky and the finish is terrible even with sponges and supermassive plastic spatulas. dont do it

There are some complete jokers about. If some1 told me they could do a 3 bed semi in 3 days i'd tell them to f**k off.

Why i have never seen a good one coat finish. theres always hollows around beads reveals and in taperd edges along with a general crap finish. the site im on at the minute another gang is one coating theres 2 plasterers they have 2 gauges around 5 bags a gauge and finish at 2. Me and me lad have 3 gauges 11 bags in total and finish at 3:30

Well I've one coated in the past and achieved just as good a finish as when two coating and only went back to two coating as I didn't feel that one coating was any quicker or easier.

Plus spray finish is a one coat system.

Im not saying always 1 coat but on new plasterboard i just can't see the point anymore. I know for a fact we get a decent finish :RpS_thumbup:

Anyone is welcome to have a butchers any time.
