Speed

Any tips for really pushing speed? going to have a crack on site after only doing domestics and really need to get cracking. Everything is prepped laid out and ready to go. Been sticking the first coat on and going back over with the second same mix normally as only smaller hits. Am I best doing two mixes with flatten inbetween and doing 2 bigger hits compared to 3 smaller ones. Also are speed skims an advantage as still not got round to buying one of them.

What are the spats like to use are they better than speed skims and used in the same way?

I went threw a spell using the refina spats to flatten, their OK it just felt awkward to use.

Main advantage to the speed skim is simply down to the size of the blade, helping you flatten more faster.

A 1200mm speed skim blade is nearly 4 times bigger than a normal trowel.
