Speedskim advice / feedback

Seen the "Speedskim" mentioned on here a bit, and thinking about giving it a try (normally just use handboard / trowel)

What kind of experience / feedback do any of you have re the product, (ie best size to use etc)and do you think it makes much difference to coverage etc?

No,difference to coverage, handy tool, suits big flat areas ,I like the 1200 myself, find it saves repetive flattening , more time for contemplation

I was under the impression it was like a "big trowel", but its only really for using to flatten in 1st then 2nd coat?
You still need to use your trowel for finishing / polishing etc?

Just taken one this minute for tomorrow, one more in the morning, then one ish, five ish etc,

Still getting used to mine, ideal for flattening down after laying in but the rest then is down to the trowel

The 600 is good for columns and reveals.

ever thought of using a brush with water on it to wash them ? works better than beating the c,rap of once its gone hard, and yes this is sarcasm :flapper:

Feckinell !!!!!!! First its a hawk,then handboard ,we've even tried hawkboard !!!! Now we've to call it a golf!!!!!..... ok I'll try but don't think it will catch on arti ?:RpS_unsure:

I also rounded the corners off mine

Same here - running your thumbnail down the grooves flakes out the dried bits.

I hang my hi viz on my speed skim, the story of the emperors new clothes springs to mind.

Yeah ive got one of them. Its about 2ft sq and about 4 ft tall. 2 wheels for easy transport. Sits at the bottom of the garden. Gets emptied by blokes in hi viz's every 2 weeks
