Got a large external render to do...does not need expansion joints but want to split it up to make it easier...what type of bead do i use? don't want it to be noticable.

thanks

15mm skim stop bead also know as skimbells ................travis stock them galvos or stainless

I'm afraid any bead will still show, sometimes it's better to make it more obvious rather than do a poor job of trying to hide it.

thanks just confusing when you say skim bead? when i need it for external render...

Yea I realise it will be noticeable...getting this info for the builder as he asked me today how to split it up. I said stop bead or more hands...but don't think theres enough money in the job.

Thinking about it though by the time/cost of running a stainless stop bead the length of the wall we could have got some extra help! lol

if you split it up it will cost more because you will still do it over a number of days but if you got some help it would be knocked out i a day and you wont have the cost of all the bead and labour to set them. every joint will show and if its standand float and sponge render it will look sh*t when painted. its your name on the job.

not sure how big i'd say the largest side is approx 80m2 - top coat may be tough as neither of us are the quickest...its float and sponge finish....anyway if it were me i'd get some1 else in on the job and hit the lot but not enough money in the job...builder bought galvo bellcast beads today and split area in half. Never done it like this before so will be interested to see it after painting.
