Sponsoring a football team

Hi,
I am thinking about offering to sponsor my boys under 12 football team, I don't know how much this will cost yet but before I approach the subject with the coach I was wondering if anybody on here has tried or is doing this already ? And obviously does it pay off , and is it tax deductible ?

Cant be bad promotion if it's your local team. Depends on cost

Yeah tax deductible I have sponsored a few things in the past...

I got naff all from doing it other than helping out the people involved

I sponsored the programmes for the local football leagues semi finals and finals didn’t get a single job from it so I get asked quite a bit but politely decline

My lad under 10's full strip cost near on £500 for 14 kits. Local plumber done sponsorship , he can afford it.
