Talk in other recent topics about trowel size and type has got me wondering how you guys that use large trowels and Perma shape trowels get on with plastering stair winders, I can't imagine doing them without my old curled up girlie little trowel.

but for a winder i use a 1mm thick piece of plastic ...bends and moves with the conrure of the winder ..particularly good for inverted winders....

its simple mate, a good spread has all sizes and tools, midget upto 24" spats .

Oh bugger, and I thought I was an alright spread, but I've never owned a spatula of any size. Oh well I'll just have to buy myself a variety of spatulas and try harder to reach the giddy heights you've already achieved Simply, but thanks for being willing to pass on such gems of advice to under achievers such as myself. :'(
Your's forever gratefull Andy ;)

I've done plenty of winders and have always used an 11in steel trowel and a miget trowel for tighter bits.

so you never done mp mr andy then and never used a spat to close up mono after rulling then, i thought you were a spread who had done everthing but i must be wrong, prick

I don't remember claiming to have "done everything" Mr Simply I'm just a traditional spread who tries to do his best.
It's a good thing that you've joined this forum because every pub and public meeting place needs one. I think we make a good pair, if I'm a prick you're definitely a t**t.

the old crusrt houses i work on andy that have winders...i wish i could use a 11 or midget......lucky if i can get me shoulders thru em.....done 2 of the c**ts with a credit cards and sponge cause theri so tight.....that aint right lol........did 3 last year.......i get the basement tanking job and it always goes hand in hand...earn off the basement leave the winder to last....i feckin hate em........

dont call me a f**k**g looser. we spat it after ruling because closing it up keeps it back a bit on over night scraps. you would know that if you new what your doing chancer

also use them on large ceilings off a pole to do the first flattern, dont use stilts so it makes easyer, i am thinking of getting one of those 40" ones for the mp.

Thanks for the offer of the spats Grand but I bought some years ago, I just preferred to use a trowel. I only said I'd never had one to help Simply enjoy his evening slagging me off. :D

I must admit a use a spat to close over k rend and when I am skimming large areas its much easier to flatten quickly using a large spat.

There is no right or wrong in this just whatever you find easier... after all isnt that whats its about making the job easy ???.

I did one in Dunmow 2 weeks ago Grand, not sure when the next one will be, I'll try to remember you next time.
If that last reply was to me Simply not to worry I have beening working on site most of my life and have drunk with some serious wind ups and p*ss takers, I enjoy it as long those willing to give can take 8)

I'd be interested to see a machine in action, even thought of asking Southern and Simply about popping over to Harlow, even though I'm probably to old to change my ways would still be interesting.

its not about changing ways the machine only puts it on the wall for you its about making it easier lazy c**ts them germans f**k ooff home friday at 10
