Anyone got a dewalt battery staple gun. In the market for a stapler and so far most manual guns are crap. It's a bit pricey but if it makes the task easier then worth the money
 
I bought the dewalt carbon fibre one, absolute load of toss I’d say at least 7 times out of 10 it can’t fire through a bead.
Been thinking about a battery one myself

The one I've got is metal, seemed to do the job, for what it was worth mate.
 
These are quite strong

With the right staples, they can go into most substrates.

That's for a bare unit. £180 once you've bought the battery and charger. Madness for fixing beads.
 
Solid reveal bands = @25 mm clouts ..... there is no other better solution ......
@Staplers the one to have is Milwaukee

Spend too much time lining up the hole with the lines on the gun. I'm quicker with hammer and nail but always staple on boards that are stuck on. Struggle in awkward areas like small niches trying to staple upside down and get enough pressure on the handle to fire the staple. Thinking a battery powered gun with a light trigger will be easier. My oppo has a tad wise battery gun but it's the second one he's had in as many years as it seems they aren't built to last with regular use. The dewalt is pricey but I don't mind spending if it makes the job quicker and easier

The other way round for me though


Had milwaukee 12v recip saw, compressor/inflator, drill driver set up and bits already.


And I paid £60 for the bare tool from SGS about 2 or 3 years ago.

Everything's gone up.

What make of beads do you use?



Whatever travis perkins deliver normally. Average size fixing holes to pin. Miss more than I hit sometimes with stapler. Think it might just be me being a biff trying to line up the gun.

Every make of bead has a sweet spot for fixing with staples, I try not to fix just through the individual small holes. Catnic beads are excellent. You just line up a DeWalt stapler alongside the arris and you'll get a great fixing through the slot holes.
