hi whats the best way to patch a stipple artex ceiling the builder has taken awat a wall which has left a 4inch channel cutting the room in half but wants it restippled will normal skrim tape do for this then was goin to caulk it over with artex first the day before or is there a better method cheers

It's nigh on impossible to get an artex patch blended sucessfully in stipple, it will always look like a patch, and a strip where the wall was will look awful when finished.
Best to skim and start from a fresh.

Scrape the artex back either side of the board edges in a staggered line about 6" back, fix new board in gap scrim & easifill just slightly onto existing board either side, seal with artex sealer, then brush artex over the patch & just onto existing stipple, then stipple it, you'll have to judge wether it's a thick or thin mix by the shape of the stipple, stipple onto old ceiling either side then wet brush the edges & stipple from outside edges into the new artex then wet the edge of new artex on existing ceiling & hit it with stipple pad again to blend it in :RpS_thumbup:
Ps it'll look s**t too :-)
