OK this is a typical bloke down the pub offerring me some work ,might be something or nothing but what sort of rate on site would you get for sto- rend over insulation board with a full mesh I'm not sure of the excat product but i think its the one that put the top coat on like skim , any info is a appreciated .

you would need to find out what insulation system ie-rail and starter track or stuck and fixed with starter track also is there a primer before the topcoat and any firebreaks as they need double mesh and apu beads round windows as you insulate ok

Ok mate i will have to find out more info he didnt say anything about that , i know its not the scraped stuff he said they put it on like skim with plastic trowels .

the insulation can be a pain in the ass Church so if your not confident tread carefully. with both the base coat and mesh and the top coat you should be able to do 1oo m2 a day but you need at least two of you but best with three (2-1) get the lab mixing the sto and placing tubs every 20m or so cleaning etc.

I lay on using an 11inch stainless trowel, hold the trowel on the wall at a 45 degree angle and using a plastic measuring jug out of your mrs cupboard scoop out the sto, pour onto your trowel then spread on the wall, you can't really go wrong, you just lay as thin as the grit allows then you go ahead laying and your mate comes behind you with a flat faced plastic float (orange handle on refina) and rubs up, which is really just evening out the grit.
base coat and top coat is easy church but I advise you do some test panels first to get the hang of it first because its gone off in 10 minutes and you cant patch/repair.

p.s its a right messy job so I usually go to tescos and get some value jeans and a few t shirts then at the end of the week just bin them.

wait till youve got kids mate youll be looking for the savers value jeans that are on offer!

As Richard said just pour it onto your hawk with a mug or similar lay it on with a steel trowel and rub it up with a plastic trowel not sure of the price over here but it wont be a lot as you can do massive areas in a day so the metre price wont be much.
Lucius.

we use an old milk pan or small sauce pan from tesco gives you a nice hawkfull and you dont need a plastic trowel just a clean trowel always keep a wet line and dont do in direct sunlight cause it can suck like a tokoyo optician
