straight edge v darby v spatulas

How do each of you personally use these in your tool kits. what jobs do you use them for/prefer them?

I darby as i lay render on, feather edge it when its pulled in.... And spat my skim....

Straight edges for ruling off darby for flattening out after filling out any hollows. For skim just a trowel I've never bothered with spats fancy trowels speedthingys.

I use a feather edge for floating and and dabbing.... I dont use spats or anything else other than a speedskim

Spats are good for adhesive thin coat systems where it needs a good flatten
