its going to be a bumpy ride:

A snippet from one of my monthly construction journals;

The UK construction industry is heading for a double dip recession, according to the latest Construction Products Association (CPA) industry forecast.

It predicts that construction will be the first major industry sector to fall back into recession following a temporary recovery in the first six months of this year.

Despite strong growth in the spring and early summer, the forecasts show output will fall in the remaining months of 2010 and the decline will continue into the first part of 2011.

Other worrying projects from the forecast are:

•Construction output will only return to the 2007 pre-recession level in 2019;
•Public sector including PFI output is expected to fall 26% over the next four years;
•Private housing starts in 2014 will be 18% lower than in 2006;
•Total housing starts will still be 41% lower than the figure required to meet anticipated annual population growth.

on a lighter note the premiership resumes this weekend ;)

Instead of bailing out the banks and the car industry via the scrapage scheme they could have injected money into new house building.

My advice is , anyone within a 10 mile radius of where i live is ,sell all your tools immediatley while there still worth something.As for F.BS, his Tiger Stripes will keep him down.

were all be fine.. come on we all got frew ok so far dint we?

sore we can spread the work on the fourm!

its only statistics if people can predict things like this all the time there wouldnt be a recession

alls the media are doing is talking us into a double dip, you would think they would be more upbeat but they seem hell bent on ruining us all

if you can survive through back end of 2008 and 2009 as a business you can survive any time if you ask me,
as said there only predictions. along with hundreds of thousands that would loose there home reposesed in 2009 didnt happen 10 percent of the forecast did, along with millions that would loose there job mass unemployment didnt happen.you get my drift.not saying there isnt an element of truth in it but the media are notorious for stiring up news and scare mongering.
