ABSOLUTE SCHOOLBOY ERROR!!!!
S**t job today! Customer has done some boarding in his house 2 years ago and decides he wants it skimming! I priced it a few week ago to start today so I turned up, scrimmed and sheeted up, did a full bag mix and started putting it on and it was literally drying as soon as it touched the board, I knew straight away my mistake! So scraped it quick and threw 2 coats of PVA on and all was fine
 
yes @Ryanswart if voards have been up for even a few months give them a quick pva to be sure

Don't worry abou Darth Vader he'll need to hide from Trading Standards unless he changes his name again.

I know lets breathe some life into this thread with suggestions for a new more apt name for Ryan. Apologies to the OP.

I had the same thing a few years back customer had built an exstention on his house and boarded it god knows how long the boards where up but the paper was yellow pva twice but some of it still sucked like a dudley prozzi !!
