Taller hop up

Any one know where you can get a heavy duty hop up but taller than the refina ones. I don't want a taller version of a wickes one they last a month then wobble around
 
Hi..... I use refina stools.......they come in different lengths and heights but are expensive....... they look like a small youngmans board.......they fold up and are light plus very sturdy
 
Not for on site. I went on a strata site student accom in Sheffield few years ago and all you could use is podium scaffold for normal height but been on other sites and hop ups ok

It depends on how high......I have worked on strata sites with no problem using these ?
 
I have a dura stilts bench from carobyn one as taller one adjusts from 18 to at 30"
not cheap at 270 but does great bit of kit
 
When I went on site induction once, gaffer asked me what type of hop up I would be using and has it got the British kitemark, I replied I was unsure of the make but yes it did have the kitemark on it , he wasn't very impressed when he caught me after a few days on my hop up , made of 2 Newcastle brown ale crates with a 4ft length of scaffy baton screwed to them , I wasn't lying they did have the British kite mark on them , and I still use it to this day

you just have to make sure the legs are fully extended or your rocking all over the world
 
You could go old school and make one. Length of scaff plank. 2 uprights from scaff plank whatever height you want. A 2ft length of 3x2 across the bottom both sides to stabilise and ply triangles on each corner between upright and platform. My old gaffas got some of these that are older than me and uses them most days
 
****, somewhere had them i seen the other day higher than usual and cheap! looked decent!

Thats what i use , had one knocked up 18 years ago for a job ,and i still have it :RpS_blushing: , but mine is for ceilings ,so 8 ft long

I use a milk crate, you can hook your foot in it to move ( or just kick it ) works perfect... if doing a ceiling get 2 and just move them along.. sorted...
 
Sealey do a great hop up and come in a short and high (2 or 3 steps) version they had a wooden non slip and a all Alu one with big rubber feet I've had one for 4 years and used most days

Yeah these are for ceiling too. Only problem is they take up most of the back of the van

Nice one... what I do is, ya know the hollows you would use for carrying the milk crate ( when its the right way up ) there perfect to fit a foot in with a trainer on..lol.. and just lift it with ya foot and place it down... they dont take much room up in van aswell... might market them , give em a paint and sell the idea to refina..lol..

Tight f**k*r..lol.. get some stilts..lol... honestly, ur feet fit perfect in the hollow of the crate.. ive used em years... ive mastered getting my toes in the top and can move them on the go aswell...lol...
