Tanking and tiling a bathroom - have I made a right mess?

Hello

First time plasterer, due to bathroom wall needing ripping out due to a long time pinhole leak...

So I put up a new stud wall, new standard 9.5mm plasterboard on each side and skimmed plaster in two coats using multifinish... so far so good.
Sorted out the room on the other side of the stud wall, misted it, painted it, looks nice, quite proud of myself

But coming to do the bathroom tiling and now worried I have messed up

I plan to tank the skimmed plaster in the bathroom with Evershield paint on membrane, then tile it using lightweight tiles.
Is that OK, it is within the weight limits I think or do I have to rip it out and use Hardies cement board or similar and no plaster skim

Any advice appreciated!!

Thanks

Patrick

9.5mm board ooooh! Why?
It should only be used for patching old 9.5mm walls and ceilings. 12.5mm is the minimum for regs now.

Should have done the hardie backer on the bathroom side initially but seen as though it's boarded and plastered I'd just seal it with SBR and tile it.
Make sure you put a full bed of tile adhesive on (no dabbing) and back butter tiles for belt and braces, don't scrimp on a shite grout too.

How long you gonna be living there?
