If so, do you get much work out of it?

I've seen a few of these types of setups, you don't get any guarantee of work and if you do they take a chunk of your profit (if there is any profit at the moment), I would be really interested to hear of anyone doing well using them. At the moment you can't just go sticking ----% on a job and still get it.
