Skimming the last couple pf walls in here today over bg bondit.....

Its bloody gritty that stuff... you seem to use way more gear than normal... must have been a long time simce i used wba or similiar...

Aye a thought the bg stuff was abit bigger grit that the bondit plasterers pre grit like ...... Does eat up abit more gear no chance of a tight skim lol

was using thistle bond it the other day,i agree you do use more gear and i have to admit i dont really llike skimming over it but you cant deny its grip/holding power,the only reason i still use it or similar products
 
I skimmed over this a few weeks ago.....another gang bonded the walls ....it had taken nearly 5 bags to skim a 30m wall !!

With nearly a 4 hour setting time.
 
It swallowed tonnes of gear...lol

Grit feels bigger than WBA but hey its all skimmed now and will be painted at the weekend :-)

Pushing onwards :-)
