polishing up ... wow how quick and easy was that! may be a problem but it gave an instance polished look!

this is going to save alot of time polishing up as it is so easy quick .. no water and its a simple job any one can do!

this was on an over skim lath ceiling im working on boards all next week ill let you know how it goes.

at what point did you start using it. is it worth buying

to be fair i did a bugger of a ceiling to day .. old lath all the time skim was taken of so just the backing coat on lath.. we all know this pulls in supper fast.. we did week pva scrim then PVA/bondit mix then by the time i had layed on first coat it was nearly to hard to flatten! i tried laying on top coat with the plastic but gave up as i was in a rush i just used it on finial polish., worked well but i need more time on it!

send it round all the lads and let us all have a go then.

plus, let us know what its like once your the one thats painting the walls ;)

they are not for putting on mate

well that old skool said they lay on with!
why you skimming over old lath and plaster anyway mate :o

what you saying you dont use multi on over skism of lime.. most house in are town are lime based.. no one will pay you to apply lime finishing plaster !

people have skimed on this background everyday frew out the country why wot do u do?

were using the new s*p*r*lex skimming trowels with the oversized marshalltown hawk to lay on with ...maybe you could use these first then flatten with the plastic trowel?

look get it out of your head these trowels are not for putting on ive got one they are far too flexible normally used for final polishing if you feel like polishing i only really use mine for forming any gentle curves an such to get the shape

if people are layin on with these then I its time to call it a day and go into coal mining or summit.... the trade is ded

I just cannot see any use for em too be honest I've never needed one & can't see me ever using one at all :-\
Waste of money :-X
All you need in this game is a trowel & a spongefloat...Sorted ;D

wow the other day every1 was like ooooooh looks intresting tell me more now its all ahhhh that's a waste of time and every1 is an expert in it lol

I'm going to give it a good run next week if i like it its my lab new tool for polishing up behind me as you cant do any damage with it.

anyone got a fcukin link to this fcukin plastic trowl?

If you really want to see what the fuss is about rip a fire exit sign of a door from site (thin shiny flexi plastic ones) stick it tightly to an old trowel break the edge in and try it. much better than the one for sale cos of the plastic.

after a week you will think its all bulls1t and lob it away anyway
