Roughcasting a house just now and the customer is want the garden wall done, just the usual height with copes and feck knowes how much paint on it whisch is going to be a nightmare so is there a bagged render basecoat i can rattle over the top as she is wanting the wall casted the same as the house, i know k - rend do an hp12 which is for over paint but it's pricey, any of you kids help me out :RpS_thumbsup::RpS_thumbsup:

HP12 is a cement rich base coat normally applied at a thickness of 4-6mm. It is used over previously painted render with the inclusion of scrim cloth and nylon fixings. It can also be used as a base coat for tiling and has a high resistence to chlorinated water.

couldnt you use a high pressure washer on the paint to get the loose stuff off then fix EML to the wall?maybe even chuck on a the SBR and sand mix ove the paint first.she be right mate

Parex do some base coat called parinter for painted surfaces, look into it, I have a test panel on the back of a building at present.

id be proud to be welsh unless I was from Newport ......sounds daft but could you just add sbr to the mix and dash straight onto the paint?
