Thinging of ending it

Go and work for a week in Aldi where your line manager will be 20 years younger than you, I bet you be back skimming in no time

True.

£2.50 a meter vs hourly wage in Aldi!
Not just that, wage ain't bad at Aldi you can get by with it.
It's just taking on all the politics and crap.
Went to mcds a few weeks ago with my little one, it was just refurbished, a guy age about 60 odd was flying around brown nosing customers, then someone came in who he knew and started saying to him it's given him a new life and what an establishment etc all the crap. I felt sorry for him, he was an ex army guy, that he has to do such a job which usually is for school leavers.
I couldn't handle employment now, would be too much

I couldn't go back, unless it really was a golden opportunity.

Like you and most guys on here, I don't work an 8 hour day, wish I could, but I can choose when to work, within reason.

Its just 2 hard f**k the money
If you look around I bet you will find a smallish firm that needs a bloke who can do some work, mix and match , bit of everything, you might even like it. I stopped doing work for the likes of Persimmon about 8 years ago, they are all a bunch Andy, you might find a little plastering firm that needs an experienced bloke at a nice steady wage and enjoy going to work.

sounds like you want to get in with a local firm that looks after the council houses and voids... company van.. patch here wall there make good that.
no fuel no van cost pension and salary
