Tragic. Taking a hit financially is sometimes in our best interests when it comes to scaffold and the like.

Proper scaffold and a labourer or 2 is better than a "half day out with the undertaker" as Fred Dibnah used to say

Good shout @imago .....far too often we all take unnecessary risks. We also imagine that hire firms respect their duty of care.....clearly, some don't.
