Hi All.
My first post here, as normally just been passing and absorbing up advice etc if needed from previous posts, but now I have my own question.
Been plastering professionally for near on 7 years now, and to be honest only really undertake internal work 12 months of the year, I have done some S+C rendering on some garden walls, and they have all gone fine, but I am now considering giving Monocouche a go on my own house. Now when reading through previous posts you all say get a professional in or someone who are used to the product etc etc. I am not looking to do this as a work job, but just to spend the odd weekend learning and doing walls on my own place, for my own learning and dare I say it fun!!??!!?? and obviously save a bit of money too.
Now people aren't blessed with this god given talent from birth and so all have to learn somewhere, and I would never undertake this kind of work on a clients place as it may lead to a whole world of pain.
So my question is, is it really that hard to get a good finish and end result, if you do everything properly with regards to meshing, priming, prepping etc etc Is the actual spreading and trowling off that different. Obviously as mentioned it would be my own house, but that doesn't mean I want it to end up looking like a right old dogs dinner!!
