Hi, what seems to be the best coloured render product out there? I have a full house to do soon and customer is looking to me for best product. I have only used Pro-rend HBS by SAS (hand applied) to blockwork and have mixed feelings about it (drying times vary a lot). I have not machine applied so will be applying by hand.

Horses for courses mate ,some on he will recommend what they use most ,like me ,but what is right for me may not be for you ,so what would you normally use ,or have seen done

They all nearly the same.
Just the way they go on the wall.
Parex weber granicem enewall
All a dream to apply.

Fair points, Pro-rend is horrible to hand apply, really messy stuff. Are they all pretty much same systems, one coat with mesh in then immediately top coat ruled off until dried enough to scratch back?

Sounds like you have not done much mate

No, you are right Keithuk, just a few elavations. That's why I want to be thorough about this next job. You have much experience with Pro-rend?

Get someone in to do it mate ,it will bite you on the butt if not ,you have a thread running about a cock up on another job ,any mono job done wrong will cost big time to put right ,the material on it,s own ,with respect to you

Granicem is good by machine but not so good by hand. Parex and Weber is good by hand and so is Kilsaran. Weber is the fast setter but the others are slow setters. Take into consideration occupied houses lose heat so overnight scrapes can be a problem until it gets cold.

We will soon be approaching the time of year when the days are too short but the nights are too long.
