OK bit off topic but........

Iv dabed out a small bathroom and am tiling it for the customer, my tiling is quite good and have done a few jobs over the years but the bit i mess up every time is the trim around the window!

I'm tiling the revels and the head and shelf.. so whats the best way to go about doing the bead?

I'm crap with angles! got a miter box but f**k nos how 2 use it!

i was thinking of screwing the beads in place after cuttin to fix the tile to them,.,?

any help would be good! ill take a pic 2 moro to show how i got on!

try tiling the wall up to wherever you want to go, flush with the reveal. then dab the bead on the inside of the reveal so that the edge is flush with the edge of the tile, then cut the tiles to fit into the reveal. with the top bead i just again, tile up to where i want to, and slide the bead in after but when the adhesive is still wet so it all sticks together. i'm sure there are other ways but that works for me.

ah OK so you think put the bead on the inside of the reveal .. was not sure weather it should have garn on the out side or inside

well if you want, tile the wall as i said, then just slide the bead behind it, then just butt the reveal tiles up to it, if you know what i mean?

I'd go with putting the trim on the inside of the reveal. Dab some adhesive, put the trims up and cut your tiles to fit. I think this is more accurate than sliding the trim in after cutting. I'm defintely no expert, I @@@@ing hate tiling. Word of warning Oasis, NEVER get involved with porcelin tiles!!

i hate tiles as well! just had a call of the guy as i told him if he wants the bath tiled he needs to make the wooden panel.. Mr DIY just burnt a hole in the bath with a lamp! and asked if i can put the job of even dow iv spent 3 days there tiled all the way round the bath and a few other wall.. while he rips out the bath and tyred 2 re fit again! y do people try and do bits them self.. nice guy but ita only cost me!
