Corner trowels to use or not to use,

Personally dont use one dont like them and was always taught corner trowels are for people who cant cut out properly.

What are the advantages of a corner trowel just seeing what peoples thoughts are on them.
 
use one all the time you trowel the angle with it instead of working out from the angle
 
Cut out all plaster that has spread into the corner, hold trowel flat on the wall run down the corner with the corner of your trowel 'cutting it out' on each side of the wet to wet making a squre sharp corner

And do the same if were doing wet to wet wall and ceiling
 
the angle trowel makes it flat you dont need to cut out and ive never heard off cutting out wet on wet new one on me
 
Its easy, do it as its going off.
I use a corner trowel, just quicker and dead easy.
 
Thats what alot of people say

It works well as it firms up surely someone else must do it 1/2" brush on second trowel to run it neat and flowing then cross the brush lines out on last trowel jobs a gudden.

why would you be putting a brush in the angle your a spread not a painter
 
Well as prevoious said its each to there own and which ever works best is your own opinion but personally seen them used and not thought wow thats brilliant, and the cutting out method doesnt take alot of effort or time and my own personal view it gives a sharper corner.

But i am going to try one just for arguments sake.

I've never seen this cutting out method in 30 years can you post a vid might be worth a look at
 
Don't understand the cuttin out technique ?? Surely it don't get any easier than runnin your corner trowel down it

Doubt it, mates been doing it this way for nearly 40 years and always ends up with nice square corners.
Personally I don't do it this way except maybe on the first trowel, after that I just er my trowel tight into the angle without diging into it, run my tiddley brush down it or my finger. Always end up with nice angles.
We have got an angle trowel but I've never used it.
 
The chances of forgettin it are slim, I would have to leave my tools at home! Toolbag in the van corner trowel in toolbag!! Oh Spose I might forget the van
 
I thought there was a good disscussion going on then you chose to insult me by saying joke i dont know how you can call me a chancer just because i dont need an extra trowel for wet internals
