Is 6.30 to early to bang a mix in when you've got neighbours either side :RpS_scared:
I know it is really but what time do you think is acceptable to start being a noisy **** in a domestic situation i think about 7.30 and if people wanted to be funny do you think theres a law in place b4 a certain time :RpS_confused: just wondered!! Random!:RpS_biggrin:

8am is the norm
conservation areas can have 8.30 restriction start times and finish times as early as four pm but usually upto six pm is accepted,

[h=2]Restricted hours[/h]General construction work should be restricted to the following hours:

  • Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
  • Saturdays 8am to 1pm
  • Noisy work prohibited on Sundays/Bank Holidays.
[h=2]Noisy activities[/h]Examples of noisy activities include:

  • using hand tools - hammers and saws
  • using power tools - hand-held tools including drills, saws and sanders
  • using plant equipment - such as Kango hammers, pneumatic hammers, cement mixers, large power saws, planers, compressors and generators
  • piledriving
  • erecting and dismantling of scaffolding
  • partition walls - can produce high levels of noise for neighbours.
Further information is available in the 'Noise from small-scale building works' leaflet.

It was a bit of a pointless random post you know them days your wide awake at 5.00 its either put a few posts on here or knock one out!!:RpS_lol: i kind of already know the answer just bored till i can get grafting working on my own pad!

Depending where you are in the country mate think after 7am police dont care and wont show if neighbours ring them ??

I like to start mixing about 10am, 20mins after I arrive to the job & after a mug of tea & 4 chocolate biscuits off the customer but not too much as the cafe breakfast fills me up before I get to the job, then after my 2 coats out of the 3/4 of a bag of skim I collect my £200 cash & go & sit in a layby for a couple of hours, then I arrive home at 4:30-5pm so it looks like I've been at work all day & tell the Mrs I only earnt £100 :rolleyes)

I dod a job when we was having a heat wave so started the Briggs & Stratton mixer at 6.30am before the sun came round at 9.30am.

No problem first morning but got a gob full the second morning off both neighbours! According to them there is some law that says no noise before 7.30am or after 7pm?

Dont know if it was true, but we had the job finished that day. What got me, we told the customer and the customer had told the neighbours we was starting early and why.

Bank holidays is a dodgy one, we had a bollicking in egham, had to bite as there was three of us ,neighbour marched Into the garden and scolded us like kids, wanted badly to tell him to F off. A jumped up army officer type( in my head)

I like your style :RpS_thumbup:

I've mixed up at 6am a couple of times when I'm doing my own work on price, I've also been troweling up at 10pm a number of times.

Never had a problem with early starts, always had moaners on the evenings, the more they moan the louder I get :)
