Is it me or is TP PVA crap stuff? iv been useing it loads l8ly i normaly use the unibond make. but i keep finding on over skims i apply 2 coats and even just 1 coat at about 3-1 or 4-1 , but i leave it like 30-45 mins and it all seems nice and tacky.. so i put the 1st coat on and when i go to flatten off it slides everywere! and f*UCKs the whole set up .. keeps happenig.. ganna try and change PVA .. anyone else have this happen ever?

Sounds like pva's a bit to thick to me mate how you explain the skim sliding about.
Maybe it's tacky on top but still wet underneath so this might be the reason
it's sliding about when flattening off.
Try it with a bit more water in the pva & see how it is then.

you are better off doing it 5+1 first coat the day before then4+1 let go tacky next day

same as mate if I overskim walls of old sand and lime plaster with no or little paint on them
I give it 2 coat of PVA at about 6/7-1 propper piss thin.
I use to have problems the same as your having untill I watered it down more, also I use B&Q's
cheap stuff and its fine and about 8/9 quid a tub.
