.... so what's the most useful or interesting thing you've learned on here?

I suppose there're two categories, 1) Deviant/perverted stuff. and 2) Plastering/building trade related.

For me it's

1) Pork pie jelly is a KY substitute in Devon.
2) More trowel types and makes exist than I had ever imagined.

il be honest I get more confused every time I log in...just when I think ive got this plastering malarkey sussed theres a new gizmo or way to do it suggested....

15 yrs ago I had a 13"trowel,handboard and a splash brush....and knew what I was doing..well I think I did lol...

now I stare aimlessly into the back of the van wondering what trowels and shite to bring in depending on substrate/tempreture/climate/humidity or day of the week...

I honestly don't know what the foook im doing anymore!!! GULP
