Anyone seen these popping up in b & q? Picked up a catalogue today. There isn't a lot you can't get in there! Some of the cheapest prices i've seen anywhere. Apart from the staff knowin sod all about the job they're lookin pretty good.
 
would you really want an old spread talking to you in b n q? they seem to get really grumpy when they get over 60.
 
i love free s**t. everytime we go into magnet, howdens or buildbase i ask for t shirts to save buying them for work. or free screws haha
 
no f**k that, free advertising. when we buy kitchens they give us cases of screws etc. they tend to do world cup ones aswell.
 
Id send you one Steve but the Wifes birthdays comin up. Still, I did get two, ok but I'd want some free crap in return (dont poo in a jiffy bag).
 
how about an empty howdens screw case? dented and rusty? i'm only messin mate you can keep it for the missus' birthday
 
my missus birthday is 27th dec. and the greedy bitch wont accept 1 present on the 26th for xmas and her birthday. whats that all about?!
 
Just thought if I stitch em together I could pass them off for oven mits. She'll think there more expensive!

Swapped my b&q trade discount card for the new trade point card last week. End of last month recieved £95.00 discount paid by cheque lovely jubbly
 
Should get my new trade point card in a couple of days. Whats the diff between thr point card and discount one?
How does it work?

Hello bruce when i swapped mine over the other day they told me you still get your discount as usual but you go through the trade point outlets in all b&q stores saves waitng at them scanning machines like they have installed at most stores basicly its supposed to speed things up for the tradesmen we will see regards jim
 
Thanks Jim. So basically they've just changed the name! Do you get money back at the end of the month? Do you have to ask for this or is it automatic?

Yes bruce you still get your discount on what youve spent at the end of the month they send out a cheque if your a sole trader its in your name but if you are limited its sent out in the companies name i spend a fair amount each month at b&q but with the discount it works out ok saying that i tend to shop around sometimes for things like plaster .plasterboard dabbing etc cos the likes of selco do have special offers on and its cheaper for the same products .I tend to buy more tools and things from b&q
 
I like the free delivery on orders over £50 aas the plastering merchants I used to use want a much larger order than that
