Hello all it’s a long shot but im looking for some training near Kidderminster well up to about 25 miles distance from Kidderminster can any one advise me of a good plastering training school.

Also after I have done some training im looking for a bit of on the job training may be a couple of days a week for a couple of months for free as long as you pick me up and drop me off at the end of the day.

And please don’t think I will take your training and try to set up in the same area im trying to learn a trade so I can have a new start in a different country

So can any one help

Regards

theres a problem with your plan mate in that other countries use different product in different ways so youd be better of training in the country you want to set up in..
not kidding, plastering is like that, there were a couple of blokes wanting someone from britain to go to france and teach them how to plaster with their gear, problem was they couldnt get british products easily and the french stuff was vastly different and required a different technique... lucius prolly fill you in a bit better, hes spent years out in europe somewhere... spain, wilmslow, somethng like that?

I doubt you will learn anything at a training school that will leave you in good shape to work abroad as training schools are just basic ie skimming which others countrys dont use, if you want work abroad then go down the taping and jointing road.

Hello thank you for your replies so far I will be servicing the uk abroad and they still like walls skimmed people like what they are use to. I’m a driver by profession and I will not be dropping that so I will be back in the UK every two weeks for driving work and then going back with my van so collecting supplies will not be too hard.

Hope to hear from some one soon with a solution tomy problem

Plastering is not something you can pick up easy, even iy you learn how to skim you will still come across different situations, it s a long learning curve mate. Not trying to put you off, just saying as it is .Good luck.

no not at the moment i have not done any training yet and will buy the tools as i train so i get the right tools for the job

i think the answer is yes if it takes that long i will still be giving it 200% im 34 now iv had my hgv since i was 21 and im learning every day still. theres days i cant get that trailer on a bay and other days i dont even need to look in my mirrors i know its going on the bay. so yes ive got the time to learn
regards

good luck my friend the road is winding and the wind grows lesser with each breathe you take.......the leaves will flutter yet the roots grow strong the grass is greener on the other side :-\...........errrrrr good luck mate

and he knows ......he's still learning .....he's a bit thick though so will probably take him another 20 years lol

seriously plastering is probably the easiest trade to pick up 6 months you'll be laughing

yes...plastering is so much more lucrative than electrics roofing and gas installs.
Ive got so much spare cash lying around i thought i would by myself a flying pig

i havent been paid this fri.............ha ha ha laughed it off i did ....whats a grand to me at the end of the month when all the bills are coming out ho ho ho

Thats the spirit spunky !!!!!!!
As you well know once youve been on a 5 day training course youl be laying on 100 m2 + a day every day at £3.25 a metre so whats a poxy grand ???
Ive just sent the missus down to the cash machine with the wheel barrow to withdraw as much as she can get in it.

Didnt u really get paid m8??

Sh it its heart renching when you gotta go rip down all the work you just done becuse the guy didnt pay you.
They go bust???
Ive have a ninsurance company owe £2285 for 13 weeks now. There refusing to pay me becuse apparently the burglar alaram worked before i removed the control panel and does not work anymoe more.
All i did was loosen the box and move it to the side 4 inches so i could plaster into the corner then i put it back, absolutely nothing to do with me,even the tamper alarm didnt go off so i doubt it ever worked.
The guy thats own the house wont let me back into the property to sort it out.Says he going through the insurance.
And im refusing to take liability for it.
So prob never get paid

people love thinking up excuses not too pay ......ive had the i havent got any money before aswell .........loved that one ;D..........sorry to hear it mate hopefully theyll get robbed at gunpoint ;D...

It's possible becuse apparently them fu c k i n g alarm doesnt work !!!!

i once did a job a small skimming job for a guy and at the end of it he owed me £200,he said hed pay with cash no probs but he had a load of leather coats and if i wanted i could take a few of them instead.
i had a look to be a nosey b a s t ar d as you do ,ended up walking out there with 3 leather coats and £50.
gets home the missus in the car ready to go shopping, asking me for money, told her only small job and got £50 will that do.
2 years later still got them fu ck i n g coats in the back of my van.

Yeah, that pee's me off too. He can only give 100%. Giving 200% is like trying to fit ten litres of water into a five litre bottle, it just isn't goin to happen..

I thought it was Paul whitehouse who was a spread?
Ricky tomlinson was also a spread.
Funny how most comedians where spreads ;D

Anymore celebrity spreads anyone????
