What wood do you use? I've been told that hawthorn is particularly good and favoured by gamekeepers.

Timber (well, hardwood) is in increasingly short supply, in recent years, but I guess for your purposes, the wood, and quantities, you need is still fairly easy to find.

By the way, few people realise the unpleasant origin of the name of the US film industry.

When I think of the hundreds of hawthorn and blackthorn I cut down and burnt at the lake. You could have had enough for six more lifetimes.

Look into the origin of what holly wood was (amongst other things) specifically used for.

Don't misunderstand me - I'm not going off on one or anything, and I'm not in any way saying any of it is my personal belief. I'm just saying spend 5 minutes looking into it, that's all - it might surprise you. We live in a strange world, regardless of whether or not we personally choose to participate in the strangeness. It's the dog that should be worried, any hassle and it's on it's own. One of the walkers got killed trying to protect their dog. Had a little biut of excitement like that myself once, but this is a bullock (I think) not a broody or protective cow with a calf.

We went up on bikes few nights before. The cattle is only there few times of year. I sent a pic to kid who I went with saying would of been funny if we had rode in to these
