Does depend on how much you use it really most spreads have rendering trowels and skimming trowels but i would say a trowel should last ten years plus ,i have trowels over 15 years old but they are losing there shape now. Times change and there are a lot more poeple using hardwall and bonding and most site work is just skimming so that alone should make a trowel last longer, and not everyone using sand and cement for outside renders so who knows a trowel might last you a lifetime.
