There all the f*ckin same if you ask me, I honestly cant tell any difference between the different makes.

I did see a handboard on refina for 50 quid though, I wish them luck with that, cheeky bastages

stick with m town m8 ;) tyzac used to be good as well but use mtown

f**k*d if i know, ive got an 11inch up the garage, lemme go n have a look at that. tell you in a sec.

can hardly see cus its brand new but by the looks of it theres about 7, ill look at the big un in the van tomorrow n let you know for sure.

What ever make of trowel you go for ,you need to use them for years to get the best out of them imo .Wear in as many as you can dont stick to one trowel it will pay off in the long run

i agree church, ive got this one ive had since i started. got a mt permashape which is lovely for laying on and flattening down, but just cant seem to get it broken in enough to finish as good as the refina. which is why i bought another refina and by the time we've done all the external rendering. and scratch coated all the internal walls, should be just right for skimming.

cheers for the replies.. (all of them, not willing to use a shovel though health and safety... ;D.) gonna splash out on a tyzack and refina.. nice one chaps.. ;)

I just bought an 11inch unbroken marshal carbon as the ancient lump of metal with a handle on it my bro inlaw lent me turned into a bannana, all my tools are still in Spain, 5 mins nibbing the corners down with sandpaper and straight on with the finish no probs.
Lucius.

same as. just sand/file down corners and get on with it. after a week or 2 its starts to feel nice.

i keep finding that when sand and cementing my rendering trowels keep losing shape?

you dont scoop it onto your hawk with the tow do you ::)

tried most trowels most seem to bend the other way ! difficult to explain to the plank at the merchants why its fooked, experience tells me that for every three trowels you have only one is good enough for putting on with!
