Please can someone tel me do I have to use undercoat or can I just use more plaster.Im just starting out after watching a course on it but it dont tel you about that side of things.Any advise would be a great help.

I think we are talking about backing coats ie hardwall , bonding and sand & cement we tend to use finishing plaster to a thickiness of around 2-4 mm if you need a thickness greater than that you will need to use a backing plaster

fook me it's bad enough going on one of these courses then matey stands at the back and just watches ;D haaaaaaaaaaaaaa ha , fair play every man and his dog thinks there a plasterer nowadays
