upvc reveals

got some really ugly upvc window reveals in a room im d&d ing,just wondering if anyone else had tried to screw board onto these prior to skimming,i know its not the norm but no reason why it shouldnt work..or is there???

Can't see why not as long as the reveals are level to start with and you don't lose too much of the window frame
