USG products

Got some aqua panel ceilings to skim with a usg product don't know anything about it apart from its a bagged product not Q4 , has anyone used it and got any help or tips ?

the only usg products i have seen are sprayed like tuff hide

Not 100% sure but i think its a skim and sand method , will find out more tomorrow

you tape the joints with paper tape then spray on tuff hide with a graco airless sprayer 1mm thick spat with there plastic spat leave to settle goes all crinkly then sand using there fine paper with electric sanding machine

Tuff hide is the finished product it don't get sanded. Pro wall is the material that is a skim substitute, There is a website called www.level5finish.co.uk that shows the system.
More than likely if a skim is needed then you would tape the joints then apply 2 coats of prowall, leaving each to dry. I think it makes the ceiling breathable.

It was the exterior we were doing with it mate thin coat stuff not used it inside

Had a go today about 20m2 what a load of s**t , got the rep coming to show me how to use it , let you know how it goes ;D

i dont see the point in the stuff they did some of the high rooms in a hotel i was doing the bloke doing it said he could do 9 rooms a week we were doing three a day so they switched back to skimming them looked good though

Its not a pricework product thats for sure ,well not in my case i thought dura- finish was bad enough

the old dura finish aint cheap i just priced some council work for that
