Nothing worse than van trouble! I've owned some old pigs in my time. Had a Citroën relay die on on a hill on a bendy road on a Friday evening once. Made the radio traffic report! Hope it's not too expensive for you fella.

might be the ignition module. sounds like what happened to me when going through the mersey tunnel. like youve stalled it but cant get it to turn over again. had to get towed out.

yeah I'm thinking it's more a fuel sort of problem. cheers for replying mate nice one like I said i know cockall about engines really

Fuel pump/tandem pump I reckon.

Disconnect the inlet hose that comes off the airbox into the carb and Squirt a little brake cleaner/easy start down there while somone cranks It over, if it goes to start off it its probably fuel related

no problem. hope you sort it. just guessing. but sounds like what happened to me. was an easy fix for the ignition module. but had an ex rac transit as well and similer thing happened and garage said what royston has said. fuel injector pump. maybe. but was going to cost about nine hundred quid to replace with no guarantee it would work. can turn my hand to most things but engines i dont have a scooby. i joined the rac when it happened to me. cost about hundred quid but for that he diagnosed it took me to the nearest garage.

I made the traffic report a couple of weeks ago...gear linkeage cable came off and my gears went all floppy...was in a lane on a dual carriageway in rush hour....after about an hour a chap in a landrover came and towed me over to the hard shoulder

How do I fix my van , but don't no where the bonnet catch is, but hang on you can open the bonnet !!! Lol lol lol lol.......hope you get it sorted mate, or feck it and have the week of.

Is that a Vivaro @Lodan ?
Used to have that problem with mine, got to be a dab hand at sorting it with a couple of cable ties...

Ha! That's a better solution than replacing cable ties every couple of months! That van cost me more in repairs than it did to buy...
Had my transit 3.5 years now, no probs
