BE WARNED!!!!!!!

A few months ago I got a call from the above "company" who were selling adverts to go in their charity booklet that would be sent to every home in devon.

I paid £400 ish for 2 booklets thinking i was getting a good deal and supporting a charity.
Well NO ONE I know has received one of these booklets and I have now found out that the company is bogus and I have lost my money.

Dont agree to anything on the phone, there are to many clever scammers out there.

Rich :(

F me there are loads online about these guys... they run there own debt collection services they try to get you with there own team if you dont pay up!

oasis you kill me man lol leg it if they dont pay you hahahahaha debut..................oh and did you mean a cat on another previous post?

Sorry to hear it Rich, there are some real scum bags out there...
There are lot's of publishing company's out there (some legitimate ones) that prey on the unsuspecting by claiming that they work for respected charity's , or one of the emergency servs, I have had so many ring me and the first line is usually, " hi Paul this is Bill from South Yorkshire Police were producing our diary again and thought you might like first refusal and you will be the only trade in there of your type", My first question is, are you actually part of the force , charity , etc, and the answer is always , no we have been asked by them to produce their diary, they are alway's misleading questions and responses and nearly always some unscrupulous publishing co or agent, so the Whole Point of the Thread started by Rich ,which is a brave thing to admit when you have been had over IS
DON'T AGREE TO ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE , AND NEVER PART WITH MONEY UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED THE GOODS, BE CAREFUL OUT THERE GUY'S , IT'S GETTING HARDER BY THE DAY TO DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN THE CONMEN AND GENUINE COMPANY'S

they ring me all the time usually saying i agreed last year to advertise in their booklets for some charity or other I ask them to send last years so i can have a look which have never arrived yet....

i posted about this about 4 months ago, they get your number from yell.com. the people that tried it on with me were supporting the fire service or st johns ambulance i forget.

did they say "we have a few pages spare in our booklet and are offering it to local business's" and like render systems says they try and trap you and tell you, you have already agreed and they are ringing up for payment.

just taking advantage of desperate tradesmen

also when i asked where they got my number from they refused to tell me, so i told them i had a right to know. they would not tell me at all.
i was speaking to someone at yell.com and i asked about this problem where people ring you up for adverts, he says its a common problem and basically said that yell.com sell your details on to these companies.

ive had the police one a few times and some other kids one the other day and im always getting some scouser ringing me to see if anyone owes me money lol

I had this about 2 years ago, i got a call and they said the same sort of thing so i said send me details in the post so i can look over it , just to get them off the phone. anyway about a month later i had an invoice but because i never signed anything i binned it, about 4 months late ri got a letter from a dept collecting company, I rang the number to be told they had bought the debt. The were trying to say i had made a verbal contract over the phone. they then started saying they had it all on tape and i should send them £30 and they will send a copy for me to listen to. I told them to go away. Then i got the , we are going to start a small claims and can we have your lawyers address to send him summons. i was starting to think, maybe i can pay them half to get rid of them but i had a meeting with the local yellow pages rep and told her about it and she said if i never signed anything then they cant demand payment. anyway I sent a letter back telling them from now on they have to deal with my lawyer Mr scammer and gave my mums address as the office. i never heard another word. I found out later it was a scam and loads of people got had.

that would have been funny if they'd have got in touch with your mum and she gave them an earful haha. "you bother my son again and ill ring your F*****g neck you little c**t!!!"
