How do you lot board round these i.ve not come across one yet where i can screw a board or double board so it looks square. One we did yesterday had been boarded and was a pain and bet skim was bout 10 mm at bead.
I find best way is to screw a board on to timbers then dot next board on pushing in to the groove and squaring to window with corner of plaster board

You can use shims or various thicknesses of plasterboard to make it neat, the hell you'd put 10mm skim on

They boarded it so wasnt square . So bead stuck out. Didnt relise until i got up there with skim . When i do em i just dot em now rather then mess with packers. Seen so.e right f**k ups round these. Plus you can get em square better with dot

They're often flared out. Just done a few for a customer that had wood reveals and wanted them plastered.
Wooden velux and luckily they hasn't glued the reveals into the slot.
Removed wood, screwed some foil back board in, stop beads, undercut skim on ceiling, scrimmed in well. Skimmed reveals and used easifill to blend ceiling into other edge of stop bead.

Been told . But never look even . Plus most customer i.ve talked to always wAnt em exact to each other

As long as opposing sides are angled the same it should look fine. If all windows are done the same they will 'look exact'?
More often than not they're put in square because it's easier/faster.

Joiners i follow never leave em same . Prob why i put em square . All for easy life .

My attitude is;
I'm the tacker/plasterer and I'll tack to the timbers you've left for me.
You want the revels square, you make them square. You want them flared, you make them flared.

@John j

Tbf its the joiners job to set them out correctly when setting the joists out to accommodate.

If you ever want to make them splayed you use an angle finder to set the position then mark each one so that there all the same.

Personally I'd be pulling the joiner up mate.

I.ve had some inches out on each side.
