Hi all, we’ve bought a Victorian style home (~1880) in NE Scotland which is of solid stone wall construction, no cavity. Some of the rooms have had the lathe and plaster removed and a timber frame built by a previous owner. From reading various threads, the best option here would seem to be cellotex insulation in between the timber frame and duplex plasterboard. Correct?
For the walls that still have the original lathe and plaster, is it worth considering removing it all and repeating the above batten/cellotex/duplex arrangement to increase the u value of the entire home?
Looking for knowledge and experience here of which I have none other than what I’ve picked up in various forums over the last few weeks! Cheers.
