Nice .Have you had the all clear ;)

Looks quality, its pretty much the same thing as the pattern concrete but in render format. A builder i used to work for had us doing the pattern concrete he did about 4 jobs then sold the lot as he said it wasnt making him money. Is this making money for you warrior? But i would imagine it has a lot of job satifaction with an end product like that.

Yes mate very similiar to pattern concrete but this product is called Wallcrete from PICSuk, it was all hand applied , don't realy need a machine for a small job like this, and yes it is very satisfying when you see the finished project,
A lot more satisfying than applying mono, acrylics etc , there is a lot more skill involved, any one can apply the modern renders, or go skimming all day ;)

Lol , no mate i think he just likes to holiday there regularly, goes for a couple of months at a time

How long does it take, say compared with normal rendering, and what cost is it to the punter?

It looks time consuming and expensive to me, not that Mr helicopter Dubai would care that much, but I cant see the average punter going for it.

Thats the good thing it looks expensive a while back when all this was discused in the flex cement days its not for the average punter more for a particular job, doesnt matter who you are. Looks the part and gotta be cheaper than real stone.

The most time consuming bit is the tinting process, but once you get into the flow it's not bad, when you first start printing you try and get every bit perfect, but there realy is no need to cos you can just fall back when it's gone off a tad and carve out where you want, it took me a day to do the two wall plaques , but they were extras any how ;),
Expensive, no not really when you compare it to the modern renders , and in the case of the outbuildings it was ideal to create the effect he wanted (originaly he wanted a mono, with quoin work etc) ,and looks as good up close as it does from the road side, in fact i would go as far as to say that the average person would not be able to tell the difference between this and the real thing, as Flynny said it is for a particular job or a feature to a garden wall ,pub, theme park etc etc

loverly job fella, did you have a stencil for the lettering on the plaque or was it freehand?
