If using wet sand do you just dilute the waterproofer less...say half a bucket of water with 250ml of waterproofer per 25kg of cement instead of a full bucket?

Most waterproofers give a maximum and minimum dosage, at this time of year I lean towards the lower figure and as you say if the sands wet just start with less water.

If the mix isn't wet enough is it ok to whack some clean water in?..(the waterproofer already in the mix) I assume it is.

Use the water with the waterproofer in it its the same ratio, if your adding just water the ratio will change and yes put the water in before the sand and cement :)

I never put the waterproofer in the tank as this leads to different amounts of it going in with each bag of cement depending on how wet the different parts of a load of sand are. Put the chosen amount of waterproofer in a little water and whack it in the mixer and then repeat for each mix and every gauge ends up with the same dose simples.
