Anyone got any tips for trowel applying webber at this time of year the job is approx. 3835m2 any good mixing tips etc i usually use Krend, Parex or Powerwall scratch render and have had no problem but i have heard that webber is terrible to hand apply???

alreet marra, welcome........ you might fatarm's fatarm to put that much on by hand...:RpS_laugh:

I am coming to the end of a 120 house job all hand applied powerwall with no issues at all my only concern was the fact I heard webber was worse to apply without a machine 3 trowels and 1 labourer have done 4 or 5 houses a week and kept the job ticking along fine! I will look into machines though

Sounds like your lads are human machines marra

why is it unusual not to get a look if you hand apply? its the same rate whether you hand apply or machine apply

How long would it take to put 60 bags on a straight forward gable with one movement bead up the middle approx 60m2 with a machine including set up of machine and cleaning out ? Anyone know?

Webers about the same to hand apply as Parex IMO, only thing its a quick setter so same day scrapes for me in this weather. Answering your second question I would say set up,spray and clean out roughly 3 hours.

Yep did a monorex today and was on for 10.30 and scraped back for 4pm. If were struggling we open it up with saw blades as its a bit less harsh than the I section.

Lad I was on for last week just brought a brand new mtec 300 he sprayed a gable per day with an expansion joint 80 bags in 2 hours

I was amazed how smooth it went no probs etc fair play to him

if your going to hand apply dont use webberpral ask them to supply webber ttc (traditional top coat) comes in the same colours & as easy to coat as sand/cement.

Just had a look at the weber for more info on TTC as a rubbed finish but dont seem to say anything about it. Is it me or is the weber site rubbish?? really hard to find anything
