Its the same mix as the butter coat and then add 2-3 builders buckets of stone per barrow full and wet it up till its really pis* y or do it like madmonk said they both work .
sorry i dont get the dashing bit down this way we either float the wall and throw with a slurry of s/c with chippings(roughcast) or lay a tight coat on and throw the stone on (spar) ...........or is wet dash completely different ???
I think he means what we call in the smoke Slop Dash whch is a slurry of sand cement lime and stone thrown on the wall with a harling trowel. hard work and messy.
