they should tell you what its like to skim over as it will look like a dogs back leg! went to a job once and the guy had used this type of stuff on a wall and it didnt look to bad!!!!! he had spent £40 on smooth it £15 on sand paper and had spent 2 full days rubbing it down!! it looked like it had been snowing in is house! lol

The depth between the comb lines would be 2mm so they should be advising 2 coats at least

wonder what it's like to skim over if they've bodged it up?

had a HSL to do this week and some DiYer had bonded out big areas with filler, inches deep in some places. I pva'd it and then got on with skimming it. turns out it just sorta swelled up and started coming off in bits. Reckon this stuff will probably do the same.
