Hey guys, I'm a new poster on this forum although frequently read the articles. I'm just wondering what i should be looking at charging for a private job too:
Tack and skim a 3mx5m Ceiling.
Dot and dab a 2.4mx5m Wall, then skim it.

Re-skim/meet existing on another wall about 2mx2.4m.

He's providing the materials and is helping me out with tacking the ceiling/dot and dabbing.

Also, there's an angle the guys boarded up, which is alot wider then a normal skim bead, should I use 2 stop beads to meet in the middle on this angle or is there a bead which suits angles which are over 90 degrees?

Thanks inn advance.

work out how long it'll take you in days, times that by your day rate. Add on your material and fuel costs.

Is the splayed angle an internal or external one?

if it's internal, like a bay for instance, I just do em free hand.

externals normally just need one stop bead

Thanks for the reply, The angle is external, So 1 stop bead will be enough? Let it over hang 3mm to create the thickness on the side without a bead or just fix it flush?
And that's the sort of basis I had in my head for working out cost, but its a friends Family so didn't want too over charge :)

welcome along :-)

We dont discuss prices here as it always opens up a can of worms :-)

All the best

Danny

Haha Cheers for the heads up :P I just wanted a second opinion as had an idea in my head anyways. :)

danny why dont you just ban people who come on asking for prices he clearly hasnt got a ******* clue probably straight off a course

Work out how much you can do in a day comfy and how much you want a day. That way if you get through it you make a bit if you struggle you don't lose out a lot but learn from it.
